"Dude"
Our first horse, and
what a sweet guy! The perfect "first horse" to learn
with. Dude developed (or came to us with!) tendon problems in
a hoof. After trying many treatment options, it became clear that
he might not hold up to the long mountain trail rides we like
to do. We decided to place him with a local Christian camp that
has an extensive kid's and adult horse program. We've followed
his progress, and He's doing extremely well for them, and the
lighter work load is helping with his foot problem. We still miss
him and are thankful the camp was able to give him a productive
and happy home.
"HENNA" Of
course, 2 people have a hard time sharing
one horse! So the search was on for a horse for Karen.
"RUGER" It took several months of looking
for Terry to find just the right horse to replace Dude. Lots of
driving, test-riding, a failed vet check and dissappointment.
Terry persevered and Ruger is the perfect horse for him! As Terry
says, "He's got lots of gas" (caution, web page also
contains firearms!)

Our
first trip with
the horses to our property in Quilcene, July, 2005. A rare 90
degree day, but a great time riding!
